ARLINGTON, VA (October, 2016)—Advanced Concepts and Technologies International, L.L.C. (ACT I), an industry-leading provider of Total Acquisition Management solutions, was awarded a $21 million Task Order under its GSA OASIS Small Business Pool 1 contract to provide Acquisition Support Services to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) National Programs and Protection Directorate (NPPD) Office of CyberSecurity and Communications (CS&C) over the next three years.
“ACT I will provide critical expertise to the DHS NPPD CS&C office to ensure the security of the nation’s cyber and communications infrastructure. I can think of no higher purpose given today’s environment of constant cyberattacks against vital federal government and public services,” said Mr. Michael Niggel, ACT I CEO.
The contract award aligns with ACT I’s National Security core mission areas of cyber protection, acquisition program management, and financial management support.
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) National Programs and Protection Directorate (NPPD) Office of CyberSecurity and Communications (CS&C) was created in 2006. CS&C works to prevent or minimize disruptions to our critical information infrastructure in order to protect the public, economy, government services, and the overall security of the United States. It does this by supporting a series of continuous efforts designed to further safeguard federal government systems by reducing potential vulnerabilities, protecting against cyber intrusions, and anticipating future threats. CS&C actively engages the public and private sectors as well as international partners to prepare for, prevent, and respond to catastrophic incidents that could degrade or overwhelm these strategic assets.
