2. General Overview of ASTRO:
- The ASTRO contract is a family of ten separate, individual, Multiple Award (MA), Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contracts (pools) that encompass a variety of services related to manned, unmanned, and optionally manned platforms and robotics. ASTRO may be used to provide a total solution for any organization’s requirement in any of the identified ASTRO Domains. These requirements include the following domains:
- Operations
- Maintenance/Readiness
- Development/Systems Integration
- Support
- Research and Development (R&D)
ASTRO’s Ten Pools are:
- Data Operations Pool
- Mission Operations Pool
- Aviation Pool
- Ground Pool
- Space Pool
- Maritime Pool
- Development/Systems Integration Pool
- Research Pool
- Support Pool
- Training Pool
ASTRO is available for use by the GSA FAS AAS FEDSIM organization and any GSA AAS CO granted a Delegation of Procurement Authority (DPA) specifically authorized by the ASTRO CO(s).

4. Contractor Capabilities for FEDSIM:
TRAINING POOL: ACT I holds a contract in the Training Pool which will provide full spectrum instructional services required for successful execution of a product, program, project, or process across platforms for land, air, sea, and space. Services to be provided under the ASTRO Training Pool contract include: Flight Training; ISR Training; UxS Training; Data Analytics Training; Virtual Reality Training; Sensor Training; and Training Content and/or Curriculum Development for CONUS and OCONUS clients.
ACT I’s Training Support Services experience includes:
• Support to the Air Force’s 621st Contingency Response Wing to develop Mobility Support Advisory Squadron developing country training plans in support of air mobility operations.
• CONUS and OCONUS full spectrum Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) training to international partner nations (Chad & Cameroon) for the C-208 platform.
• ACT I has multiple contracts with HQ Air Combat Command Air Operations (AOC) where we provide qualification training for all geographic and global AOCs; and provide intermediate and advanced Command and Control training for the USAF 505th Training Squadron and Air Force Component Headquarters staffs and Joint and Coalition partners, respectively.
