As Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Catherine Urban provides strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting and program oversight as well as evaluation of growth and merger-acquisition opportunities. During her 25-year career, she has served in leadership positions as a business partner and finance professional managing financial and business operations activities with federal organizations in the civilian, defense, and space communities.
Prior to joining ACT I, Ms. Urban was CFO of Unisys Federal, including a period of serving concurrently as the federal segment’s CFO and Chief Operating Officer, where she led the financial organization scaling for revenue growth of over 25% year-over-year. Prior to that, she served as Vice President, Business Operations and Finance for Artic Slope Regional Corporation Federal Holding (ASRC Federal), where she was responsible for full financial and business operations lifecycle management of the largest revenue operating group in ASRC Federal, as well as leading multiple enterprise-wide optimization initiatives to improve execution and financial performance.
Earlier in her career, Ms. Urban served as CFO of Mission Solutions, LLC, a subsidiary of CSC focused on Navy software, which resulted in a carve out acquisition by ASRC Federal. She led the shared services, business operations and finance function separation from CSC, due diligence during the acquisition process, and led the successful integration into ASRC Federal. At CSC, Ms. Urban served as acting Finance Administration Director.
Catherine graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Providence College and holds a Master of Business Administration from Marymount University. She is a strong advocate for women in leadership and has participated as a board member / treasurer of CSC’s Management Club, a founding member of ASRC Federal’s Women’s Networking Group, and the inaugural Inclusion & Diversity Council at Unisys Corporation. She participates in multiple women in government contracting groups as well as CFO roundtables.
