Meet Alina LeMay. A member of the ACT I team for over two years, Alina is a Senior Project Manager who has supported customers across the Department of Defense and Department of Homeland Security.
Like so many of our personnel, Alina brings a career of expertise to her customers, leveraging over 20 years of experience supporting government customers in the Departments of State, Defense, and Homeland Security in the Finance, Budgeting, Accounting, and IT space.
For LeMay, life at ACT I is about the opportunity and the flexibility; the competitive compensation and benefits package along with the ability to work across projects and foster positive relationships with ACT I teammates on specific contracts and headquarters staff are among the many facets of the company that Alina enjoys about her ACT I experience.
ACT I, like all of the major government contractors, was impacted by the government shutdown of 2019; LeMay specifically cites how impressed she was with ACT I and putting its core value of employee satisfaction into action when the company uniquely stepped up to cover the salaries of the employees during the shutdown to ensure stability.
When she’s not hard at work supporting our government customers, LeMay is hard at work bettering her community. She specifically cites her work with the New Dominion Women’s Club of McLean, a civic organization based in nearby McLean, Virginia and “committed to promoting, encouraging, supporting and cultivating the civic, cultural, educational and/or environmental welfare of the community through volunteer service and/or financial contributions while providing an opportunity for fellowship among women.” A past President, Vice President of Ways and Means, and the official photographer of the organization, LeMay gives back to her community through engagements like the organization’s Adopt a Highway and Reading is Fundamental programs and the Children’s Art Walk. She also has worked hard on fundraisers like Spring Fling Fashion Show, Luncheon, and Raffle, featuring local elected leaders, television and personalities, and community leaders in a fundraiser benefiting local charities.
Her passion for photography also extends past a hobby; an “unofficial photographer” for countless events, LeMay said she’s turned her love of photography and carrying her camera with her wherever she goes into a pastime, opening her own small photography business seven years ago.
Alina LeMay is a subject matter expert, committed to the advancement of her customers, her company, and her community.
