ACT I Salutes Veterans in Supporting Wreaths Across America

act-i-wreaths-across-americaACT I today announced its support to Wreaths Across America, continuing an annual tradition of supporting the nonprofit’s important mission to “Remember, Honor, Teach” through wreath-laying ceremonies in veterans’ cemeteries across the country. The support of Wreaths Across America represents a continued commitment to community engagement and philanthropy by ACT I, who has long partnered with national and local civic organizations in communities where the company delivers mission-essential services to government customers every day.

“ACT I is committed to our nation’s servicemembers, military families, and veterans,” said ACT I CEO Michael Niggel. “The chance to pay tribute to our fallen heroes through partnerships with important programs like Wreaths Across America is what ACT I in ACTION is all about. Especially during the holidays, it is our honor as an ACT I family to help honor those who have worn the cloth of our nation.”

Contributions were made on behalf of the ACT I workforce in communities across the country with ACT I operating locations to honor local veterans. ACT I was proud to sponsor wreaths at the Beal Memorial Cemetery in Fort Walton Beach, Florida, Pikes Peak National Cemetery in Colorado Springs, Colorado, Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas, Texas, and Arlington National Cemetery, in Arlington, Virginia.

ACT I has sponsored the organization’s important mission for years, and organized local teams to participate in the wreath-laying engagements. While formal ceremonies were limited this year, employees did participate in laying wreaths to honor veterans in local communities.

“We are proud to call these communities our home,” said Niggel. “It is our humbling opportunity to partner with them, and with Wreaths Across America, in recognizing service and sacrifice in locales across the country.”

ACT I remains active in local communities throughout the year, supporting important community organizations as part of its charitable fund, including Wreaths Across America, the Air Force Aid Society, the Coast Guard Foundation, the Urban Alliance of Northern Virginia, and the American Heart Association’s Heart Walk. The company also made a series of contributions this Spring to organizations across the United States in response to COVID-19, supporting communities, first-responders, and organizations nominated by employees who live and work in the locales.
