Advanced Concepts and Technologies International, L.L.C. (ACT I) today announced its implementation of a Business Continuity Management System (BCMS) certified by QAS International according to ISO Standard 22301:2019. The certification covers operation of the company’s Arlington Headquarters. A leading provider of Aviation, Homeland Security, Business Technologies, and Intelligence Solutions, the certification joins other standard business certifications held by the company, including ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems, CMMI Level 3, and underpins the company’s continuity of operations programming.
“Implementing a BCMS and achieving ISO 22301:2019 certification is another important step for our company as a platform for growth,” said ACT I CEO Michael Niggel. “This certification provides our clients, teammates, and employees an assurance that ACT I has the processes, procedures and response tools in place to continue operations and manage risks, even if disruptions occur.”
“ACT I is familiar with the rigor and standards required for ISO certification, having maintained ISO 9001, Quality Management Systems, since 2004,” continued Niggel. “We, like all companies, operate in uncertain and unclear environments, as the circumstances to continue delivering mission-critical solutions against the challenges of COVID-19 have reminded us of. We take our responsibilities to our customers, partners, supply chain, and our workforce seriously, and believe that subjecting our Business Continuity Management System to independent, external audit provides our stakeholders a solid assurance that our plan meets international standards.”
